Every morning we are born again, and we leave the last birth at night when we hit the bed. In today’s rat race, its quite a challenge to keep yourself mindful all the time on your toes. Since the day I became mindful about my own actions, I changed my life. I’m more aware and beautiful inside out now.
I feel being mindfulness means, you invest the time in yourself. Investment always brings something positive back on the track, so be very cautious while investing in yourself. Technically speaking, mindfulness is a cognitive skill which helps us to sustain the awareness about ourselves. By being mindful, once can easily reorient themselves and can shift the positive energy towards something more meaningful. To me, mindfulness leads me to meaningfulness to revive the purpose of my life.
Walking meditation

I found about walking meditation in a YouTube video by Kaushal (my favourite beauty content creator). She takes her dog and indulge herself in walking meditation every morning. Instantly, I drew myself towards it and started doing the same. Its so relaxing as the morning cool breeze calms me down. It’s a great form of exercise and helps me to prepare myself for a busy day. As a content creator, I also get lot of juicy ideas flowing while walking.
Mindful eating

This form of mindfulness became a major life changing habit for myself since October 2019. When I turned vegan, I made a huge shift. I stopped consuming dairy, fried food items, gluten and sugar. Now I consume gluten once in a while but I’m completely off sugar, fried food and dairy. I try to eat more greens, which helps me to reverse not only type 2 diabetes but I also reversed my eye sight (hypermetropia)
Journaling

I included journaling into my daily habits since 2022. My life coach suggested me to start writing a gratitude journal and a daily diary to declutter my mind. Since I love writing, it never burdened me. I enjoyed expressing myself in my diary. While writing gratitude journal every day, I realised how lucky I am. I have numerous things which are absent in lot of people’s lives. I write when I am confused, scared, sad and happy.
Deep breathing

Breathing is the most basic body function we start doing when we are born and continue doing till, we breathe our last. It’s not just for our lungs, but it’s also equally important for our brain too. I personally love doing deep breathing whenever I get a chance. It’s a must for me after I wake up in the morning and before I go to sleep at night. It calms me down and helps me to concentrate on my high priority things.
Sleeping

Many people are not highly attentive about sleeping or how beneficial is sleeping for a good and healthy life. 7-8 hours of good sleep is a requirement. As per many experts, women need 30 minutes of extra sleep than men as women engage themselves equally at home and at work. Moreover, menstruation and breastfeeding (for new mothers) make women tired pretty quickly. So deep breathing and offering gratitude followed by mindful sleeping should be in everyone’s daily routine.
As part of mindfulness, I try not to indulge myself on my phone for at least first two hours in the morning and avoid phone for one hour before going off to sleep. Try to read some self-help books or some quotations in the morning to motivate yourself. Practising daily affirmations is another fantastic activity you can include in your life.
