As it’s environment friendly, one can ethically source them with ease. Food and Agriculture Organisation says that bamboo in China covers almost 3% of the forest.

Recently, experts also predicted that the world population may reach upto 10 billion if some major change is not coming into the way. As the number of mouths will be increasing to feed, food alternatives are highly essential. Scientists opined that bamboo milk could be a great source of plant protein in the coming years.

A new study was published in Trends in Food Science and Technology says that bamboo is a great source of plant protein and its high in amino acids. As the bamboo cultivation is easy and less heavy in pockets. According to BBC Science Focus, bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world. So even if it is used for milk extraction, remember that bamboos grow faster, so the milk production will be easy.
