To enhance the beauty of face, people do lot of things and they use lot of products which are not generally advised by the dermatologists. But we skip those suggestions and keep using them. When I was not a vegan I used to use lot of brands which were neither vegan nor cruelty-free. Thankfully, I enlightened myself and changed the brands I was using earlier. This process not only improved my skin quality but also helped me to refine and contribute to the nature too. So let’s check out which products are not good for your skin, but unknowingly we buy and use them.
Again, I’m sharing the links of the old posts on chemical free, vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics.

1. Sulphate: It is used in face wash, toothpastes, liquid hand soaps, body shower gels and so on a cleaning and rinsing agent. They leave your skin look quite clean, but at the same time, it leaves a layer on your skin which makes your skin soft and smooth right at that moment. It is also available in various hair shampoo and cleansing oil too. Some makeup removal oil also add sulphate in their products. It addresses the dryness and skin repairing issues.

2. Parabens: Paraben is a type of preservative used to manufacture skin and hair care products in abundance to keep the hydration process intact. It can easily get into your body through the skin tissues and can cause problem with producing estrogen. Parabens are so strong and harmful that it can disturb the reproductive system of women pretty quickly or in the long run.

3. Petrolatum: It is another ingredient is being used in the skin care products to keep the skin soft and smooth. it is found in lip balms, moisturisers and body oils. It also keeps the water into your skin so your skin can stay hydrated for longer. So when your skin is getting dry you tend to use it again on your skin.

4. Fragrance: Fragrance is something used in abundance in the cosmetics, skin and hair care products to increase the desirability of the products even more. Natural and artificial fragrance can attract the seekers attention. Some of the brands use artificial fragrances with chemicals, which stays of skin for a longer time and can create irritation or skin rashes pretty quickly. Severe skin diseases like, eczema and psoriasis can also be observed in the long run.

5. Talc: Let me just mention that talc is mainly mined from Earth, which is composed of magnesium, oxygen, hydrogen and silicon. Chemically speaking, talc is a hydrous magnesium silicate used widely in cosmetics to make it durable or long stay on skin. it can cause various type of skin reactions. Since application of talc on the skin clogs the pores, it doesn’t allow much of natural skin oil secretion. Use of talc regularly can arise respiratory and ovarian diseases.

Conclusion: My agenda is not to discourage you from using cosmetics, skin and hair care products. Please use them wisely and check the ingredients before purchasing them. Try to purchase them by visiting at the store. While buying online, you might not be able to find the complete ingredients list. After all, skin is the largest organ covering our body and we use all the cosmetics, skin and hair care products directly on our skin. So better to be careful rather than being sorry or regretting later.
