Few weeks ago, Greta Thunberg launched her new book called, “The Climate Book”. I haven’t grabbed the copy of this wonderful creation yet, but I’m trying to get my hands on this copy very soon. It’s something I want to read all about.

About the author (Greta Thunberg)

She is a Swedish environmental activist and is known for challenging the global leaders to improve the climate crisis all over the world. She is presently 20 years old and have achieved quite a lot in terms of changing the thoughts of the politicians and leaders. Her other books are, “No One is Too Small to Make a Difference”, and “Our House is on Fire: Scenes of a Family and a Planet in Crisis”. In 2019 at World Economic Forum, she delivered her iconic speech “Our House is on Fire” in Davos that grabbed attention from many big leaders. Numerous environmentalists supported her approach too.

About the book “The Climate Book”

From Greta’s point of view, humans still have the time to reverse the climate crisis and still can save the planet. The readers initially might think that its an unrealistic and impossible goal to achieve. But to prove her point, she collected the data from the famous oceanographers, geophysicists, meteorologists, engineers, historians and philosophers. We need to educate ourselves to combat the climate conditions all over the world. Its snowing in some countries when it is not supposed to snow. Its flooding in some countries, when rain should not take place. Earthquake is hitting us every now and then, we all know what happened in Turkey and Syria.

She also included charts, graphs, photographs and diagrammatic illustrations for the readers to understand deeply how much of damage we have already done to our planet and how can we retrieve our planet. She also explained in this book that how she grew her interest in climate crisis and how she wants to contribute to protect our home. Global leaders are also somewhat keeping the human population in the dark to keep their money making projects going on. This is not only harming the planet but also increasing the pollution.

Conclusion

She still believes that, collectively, we still can save this planet. Its the only planet where we can live and breathe. We have already tortured the planet to a certain degree that the planet itself is revolting against us. The frequent and sudden natural calamities are the biggest evidence that Earth is in danger. Penguin Random House published and launched this book and its already making huge difference. I’m trying to learn too to protect our planet and I want to make it more breathable and liveable for the generations to come.
